A TEENAGER who crashed his car through a fence and overturned it into a ditch must stump up more than £1,000.
Paul Sanyaolu, 18, lost control of his Volkswagen Polo at the East Mersea Road junction with The Strood in West Mersea.
The front seat passenger was injured during the incident on February 13, Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court heard.
An offence of driving without due care and attention was proved in Sanyaolu’s absence from court.
The defendant, of Oxton Close, Rowhedge, was ordered to pay £1,034 in a fine, costs and surcharge.
His driving record was endorsed with eight points.
