COLCHESTER United's Blue White Army supporters group have launched an appeal after some of their flags went missing from the JobServe Community Stadium.

They have asked for the supporter flags to be returned to the Colchester United reception.

The flag poles have relevant signs and stickers on them and are clearly labelled.

Writing on social media, they said: 'Being fan funded, any flags taken home is a big dent into display plans, no judgement will be had if you send us a message to return them.'

The fan-funded tifo BWA group have relaunched this summer and are striving to take the JobServe Community Stadium matchday atmosphere to 'another level'.

They are aiming to have a more consistent presence in the South Stand with their flags, banners and displays, at every U's home game.

The BWA's current spend for this season has already exceeded their expenditure for last season by more than double and every donation they receive as a group gets invested straight back.

Donations are their main source of aid, along with their seasonal pledge option of £20.

The BWA are also planning to hold fundraiser nights and will stage an event with U's legend Tony Adcock at Other Monkey Brewing in St Nicholas Street in Colchester, on October 26.

Tickets for the event are priced at £5.
