A SPEEDING driver has been handed points on his licence after travelling 16mph above the speed limit.
Roy Roberts, 36, was clocked driving at 46mph in the 30mph London Road, Kelvedon, on October 19 last year.
Colchester Magistrates’ Court heard he was driving a Ford Transit at the time of the offence.
The crime was proved via the single justice procedure at the court.
Roberts, of Mary Ruck Way, Black Notley, was ordered to pay £706 in a fine, surcharge and costs and was handed five points on his driving licence.
