A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and shoplifting offences in Colchester.
It come following a report of theft from Budgens on Drury Road in Colchester, where food was stolen, on July 27.
Shortly afterwards, two more reports came into Essex Police of burglaries, again on Drury Road, where gardening tools and decorations were stolen from two separate addresses.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “A fourth report came to Essex Police on July 30, following a residential burglary at an address on Drury Road where camera equipment and a laptop was stolen.
“These incidents have been treated as connected and on Friday, October 20, our officers arrested a man in connection with these investigations.”
A 39-year-old man from Colchester was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary dwelling with intent to steal, theft from a shop, theft and two counts of burglary other than dwelling.
He remains in custody.
