A MAN was arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences in Colchester by Essex Police’s Operational Support Group.
The arrest took place as a vehicle was stopped during checks in Station Road, Colchester, on Sunday morning.
After searches of the car, officers allegedly located a large amount of white powder and suspected Class B drugs
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “These have been seized and will be sent off for analysis.
“A 27-year-old man from Watford was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply."
A spokesman added that further checks indicated that the driver allegedly didn’t have valid insurance or a valid driving license.
“He was further arrested on suspicion of driving without a valid license and driving without insurance," he added.
The man remains in custody and the vehicle has been seized, while enquiries remain ongoing.
