A MUM of two who launched her beauty business in Colchester in the wake of the pandemic says she is "really proud" as the firm marks two years.
Ella's Nail House, in Trinity Street, Colchester, is set to host festivities to commemorate its second anniversary on November 1.
Ella Slaughter, 36, started the business two years ago, after moving to England permanently in 2019.
Ella, who is a mother of two young children, said she was very excited that the business will be marking the milestone.
She said: "We are really happy and proud to make it this far and we appreciate the good feedback we get from customers.
"We work hard and want to give our customers the best quality service, we would like to say thank you to our customers over the last two years who have supported us.
"We hope we can keep going in the future to contribute our services to the community.
"We see our customers as friends, not just clients.
"We try to take care of them and try to make sure everyone is happy when they leave.
"We are so excited to celebrate our two year anniversary with our customers, we couldn't make it without their support."
Ella was inspired to open the business in October 2021 after visiting another nail salon in the city and felt there was a lack of customer service offered.
In the beginning, Ella and her brother were the only two members of staff and it has now grown into a team of five workers.
Ella's Nail House offers 2,000 different nail gel colours, nail art, manicures, pedicures, nail extensions and much more.
She moved to the city as her husband Michael Slaughter is from Colchester and she wanted to be closer to her family members that live in the area.
The nail technician has brought a wealth of customer service knowledge to the city as Ella used to work as a hotel manager in a five star hotel in Vietnam.
Next week the business will be offering £5 off all treatments over £30, all customers that spend over £30 will receive a free gift, alongside this there will also be a selection of food and drink for customers to enjoy on November 1.
