A WOMAN from Colchester has been arrested at a retail park after police received reports of a theft and seized substances.
Essex Police's Colchester policing team arrested a woman following a theft from a shop at Stane Park on October 25.
It was reported that a woman entered a shop and picked up a number of items before leaving without attempting to pay.
Stane Park is a popular shopping destination and features stores like M&S, Superdrug, Aldi and Mountain Warehouse.
The officers attending the incident last Wednesday arrested a 52-year-old woman from Colchester in connection to the theft and four other thefts from the same area between September and October.
A search of a property led to the discovery and recovery of a quantity of suspected class A drugs.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of theft and possession of class A drugs with the intent to supply.
She was released on bail while the police inquiries continue.
