A WOMAN has been charged after £780 worth of goods were stolen from a Sainsbury’s supermarket.
Police were called to the shop in Western Approach, Tollgate, on Monday amid reports of a theft at about 4.30pm.
Officers were told a woman had picked up about £780 worth of products and left the shop without attempting to pay.
Essex Police said a 49-year-old woman from Tendring has now been charged with two theft offences in connection to the incident.
She is due to appear in court today (Tuesday).
