CREATIVE Colchester postponed its monthly First Thursdays festival amid concerns over Storm Ciarán.
The event had been due to take place on November 2.
As part of the festival, Creative Colchester organise events throughout the city, intended to help celebrate the artistic community on the first Thursday of each month.
Creative Colchester said: “We apologise for the late notice, but this was a difficult call to make.
“However, with some of our events taking place outside, we believe this is the right thing to do.

Due to Storm Ciarán sweeping across the country we have made the difficult decision to postpone First Thursdays tonight.

“Please note, we are only cancelling our own events. Other events included in the programme may still be taking-place. Please check with other venues about their own programmes.”
Events postponed to a later date include Musicians Supporting The Homeless, Dances of the Caribbean, Salsa Dance Class, Theatres, lost but not forgotten and Acoustic Live Sessions.
The next First Thursdays event will take place on December 7.
