A COLCHESTER tearoom and antiques centre will be hosting a Christmas market in the coming weeks - just in time for the festive season.

Shoulder of Mutton is a 750-year-old Grade II listed building located in Fordham which is owned and operated by the Neill family.

Later this month the historic venue will hold a festive market at which 25 small Colchester businesses will showcase their different crafts.

There will be multiple antiques stalls, a local choir singing carols and a local blacksmith performing free demonstrations.

The crafts on offer will include eco-friendly jewellery, historical mud lurking finds remade into jewellery pieces and Christmas themed gifts.

The toilets and dog friendly café - offering mince pies, mulled wine and normal lunches - will be open to the public.

The free event will take place on November 25 and November 26 from 11am to 3pm.

Free parking will be available.
