A WINNER of a popular television talent show to set to visit a Colchester venue to perform his brand-new show.
Jon Courtenay was crowned the champion of the 14th season of Britain’s Got Talent in 2020 after wowing judges and the audience with his musical performances.
Next year he will embark on a tour of the country with his new show Bigger*, which will be packed with music, comedy and entertainment.
As part of the tour he will take to the stage of Colchester Arts Centre on March 21.
Following a hugely successful run at the Edinburgh Festival, the show will feature an updated version of the Manchester entertainer's one-man musical, as well as new material and his trademark brand of musical comedy.
The musical was inspired by his cancer journey, one he embarked on during the filming of Britain's Got Talent in July 2020 after he found a suspicious mole which was confirmed as melanoma.
Despite receiving the all-clear at the end of the year, the cancer had spread to his neck, requiring major surgery and a course of treatment.
Tickets for the event are available for £20 from colchesterartscentre.com.
The show is set to start at 8pm and has an age guidance of 12 years and older.
