SOMETIMES when you come in from a long day at work, the thought of cooking is far from the top of your wish list.
An easy way to solve this, is to order in.
Takeaways have always been hugely popular, growing even more so following the second period of the Covid-19 lockdown.
And with various apps and companies now offering a delivery service, there has never been so many options to choose from when wanting to whet your appetite.
Gazette readers have now had their say on some of their favourite late night takeaways in Colchester.
Many chose a good Chinese as their favourite.
Rosemarie Thrive and Lesley Hindle both mentioned Tins Willows Garden, with Billy Parkin name-dropping China Chef, in Crouch Street.
Michaela Mason, on the other hand, said “Ali’s BBQ House”, while Pete Madge gave credit to either Zara's Fish Bar for a good bit of chippy grub or the Rose Burger & Kebab Centre.
Reader Simon law said his favourite was Fais Noodle Bar, in St Botolph’s Street, and Dawn Norton opted for Istanbul Delight.
Many, however, simply said their own kitchen, citing takeaways as an expensive and unnecessary option when a great meal can be prepped and cooked in the comfort of your own home.
