A BUSINESS in the centre of Colchester has announced it will be closing after years of success.

The owner of Wildflower Style Boutique, in 35 Sir Isaacs Walk, has confirmed she will be closing the shop at the end of the year.

Nikki Hepworth shared that “it’s time I moved on” from her business, which she opened using inheritance money in 2019.

The popular shop had a focus on sustainable fashion for women over 40 after owner Nikki felt there wasn’t enough choice for slightly older women.

She broke the news on Facebook, with many shocked customers sharing their sadness.

The business owner has since shared a number of items which will be sold at discounted prices and the website has since been updated with a message about final sales.

In an emotional statement on social media, owner Nikki Hepworth said: “I have made the difficult decision to close the store.

“It’s been an amazing five years but it’s time I moved on. The last day of trade will be Saturday, December 30, until then it’s business as usual.

“Should anyone be interested in taking the business over, the landlord is offering a new lease with very favourable terms DM if you’re interested.

“Thank you for all your love, support and custom over the last five years.”
