COUNCIL bosses are on the lookout for responsible tenant with a dedication to health or the community to move into and manage Paprika House from early next year.

Colchester Council is inviting public or private enterprises to explore the possibility of taking over a community room on the ground floor of a block of flats in Apprentice Drive.

The meeting space, which measures 42sqm (454sqft), is located in a residential area close to the A12 and the Colchester North train station.

It has one allocated parking space as well as two visitor spaces which are shared with tenants of the flat block.

Colchester councillor Natalie Sommers, portfolio holder for communities, said: “We are looking for a tenant that is committed to using the space to make a positive impact on the community, whether that is through providing health and social services, promoting arts and culture, or supporting economic development.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the right organisation to take advantage of a modern, flexible, accessible, and secure space to grow and thrive.”

Anyone interested parties who would like a surveyor, architect or advisor to visit the property should mention this alongside their details when requesting an appointment by email or calling 07817 889992

The deadline for submitting an Expression of Interest is midday on December 15.
