A POPULAR coffee shop chain is understood to be opening on a Colchester housing development.
The Gazette understands Esquires, a chain with 55 stores across the country, including in Basildon and Southend, is opening a new location at Chesterwell Plaza.

A source says work to transform one of the empty units at the site in Cordelia Drive should’ve already started but has been delayed.
Esquires has already set up a page on its website for a branch at Chesterwell, though it doesn’t hint when the café may open.
Several businesses have already opened at the site, including a day nursery and the Afterglow tanning and beauty salon, which both sit alongside an East of England Co-op in nearby Leda Way.
