A POPULAR comedian will light up the stage of one of Colchester's most popular venues when he brings his new stand-up comedy tour to the city.
Nick Helm, most famous for starring in the hit television series Uncle, is preparing to perform his Super Fun Good Time Show at Colchester Arts Centre on May 14 next year.
Since starting out in the industry in 2007, Nick quickly gained attention thanks to his unique, powerful and - above all else - hilarious blend of one-liners, stories, poems and songs.
His previous shows enjoyed sell-out runs at Edinburgh Fringe, and he has been twice nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
Nick's success is not confined to comedic acts, however, as he has also released two successful albums and was nominated for a BAFTA for short film Elephant, which he co-wrote, directed and starred in.
He also appears on BBC's Live at the Apollo, Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, The Reluctant Landlord on Sky, and many more.
Tickets for Nick's Colchester show are £18 and go on sale tomorrow, November 24, at 10am, on the Colchester Arts Centre website.
Doors open at 7.30pm and the show starts 8pm for a seated audience.
