BUSY roads in Colchester are amongst those set for upcoming road closures to allow for work to be carried out.
Head Street in Colchester will be temporarily closed from its junction with Church Street for a distance of approximately 55m in a southerly direction.
A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will also be introduced.
The closure and restriction is scheduled to commence on January 21 for two nights from 10pm to 6am, or where stated on a valid permit.
The closure and restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while crane works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Brook Street will also be temporarily closed, from its junction with Barrack Street to its junction with East Street, on December 12 for two nights from 8pm to 5am.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Heath Road in Fordham Heath will be temporarily closed for three days from December 12 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
The road will be closed from its junction with Spring Lane to its junction with Wood Lane a distance of approximately 930m.
An order is in place to temporarily close High Street and Hurst Green in Brightlingsea from the junction with Richard Avenue for a distance of approximately 355m in an easterly direction.
A ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will also be introduced.
The closure and restriction is scheduled to commence on December 12 for five nights from 7.30pm to 5am, while carriageway resurfacing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
High Street in Langham will be temporarily closed from its junction with Moor Road for a distance of approximately 120m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on December 14 for seven days.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.
Another nighttime closure set to take place is in Severalls Lane in Colchester from December 11 for four nights from 7pm to 5am.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while telecoms installation works are undertaken by Hutchison 3G Ltd.
Finally, in Colchester, Winnock Road will be closed for three days from December 13 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
In Witham, Cressing Road will be temporarily closed for three days from December 12 for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An order is in place to temporarily close that length of Highfields Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Powers Hall End to its junction with Whiteways Court a distance of approximately 40m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on December 11 for 12 days.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
Rifle Hill in Braintree will be temporarily closed for one week from December 12.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway works are undertaken by Virgin Media.
In Halstead, Trinity Street is set to be closed for two nights from December 14 from 7.30pm to 5am.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
