TWO busy roads will be closed-off in December while much-needed works are carried out.
A section of Grange Road, in Tiptree, and Wigborough Road, in Peldon, will be closed on December 18 for maintenance work.
A traffic notice has been issued for Grange Road in connection to section 14 of the 1984 Road Traffic Regulation Act.
The road will be closed in the interest of public safety while employees of Openreach deal with ‘overhead cabling works’.
A 35-metre section of Grange Road will be closed from its junction with Windmill Hill.
It is expected to be closed for one day and an alternative route will be available.
In the case of Wigborough Road, a far larger 220 metre stretch of the area will be closed, southwest of its junction with Church Road.
Anglian Water will be carrying out pipe repair works in the area and an alternative route will be available via School Lane.
Wigborough Road will be closed for three days from December 18.
