The breathtaking prequel The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes.

The Hunger Games. One of the most watched and well-known movie and book franchise in the world which gained large popularity in 2013( when its first movie release came out) . Most of us were hooked on the spot and were sad to see the franchise come to an end at the 4th movie after its amazing storyline that left us wanting to watch more .

No one expected that 8 years after the last release of ‘ The Hunger Games : Mockingjay - part2 ‘ another Hunger Games would be released ,But it is here now and critics are calling it ‘ the best hunger games yet.’

Starring Rachel Zegler and Tom Blyth as the main characters from the bestselling book . The story follows teenage protagonist ,Coriolanus Snow , or , President Snow( 64 years before the first book/movie ) as he mentors district 12 tribute , Lucy Gray, during the 10th hunger game.

Tom Blythe delivers a spectacular performance of young Snow which allows us the perspective to understand why and how he became president of Panem. He plays the role of the empathetic , affectionate young Snow so well that it is a great shock to see the dramatic change to Snow's well-known personality that is sadistic and cruel . Rachel Zegler plays love interest,Lucy Gray Baird, a young girl from the deprived district 12 . Lucy Gray  is seen as a charismatic girl who grips your attention with her beautiful, impactful voice , which made her a popular tribute. The outstanding performances helps bring to life the characters and the cinematic experience entertains us , leaving us wanting more .

The dystopian prequel was released on November 17th 2023 by Lionsgate Films with director Francis Lawrence and screenplay by Micheal Lesslie and Micheal Arndt . As soon as it hit the cinemas tickets were selling out worldwide and made #1 movie in the world. With themes of : violence ,threat and drug misuse the movie is rated 12A.

“What was your opinion on the new Hunger Games movie?”
“It was amazing , I really liked the way Snow was presented in the movie, however I believe that the love story between Snow and Lucy should’ve been longer .”

“Did watching the movie change your opinions on Snow?”                                         “Yes, I believe he is misunderstood and the trauma from his past relates to his future .”   

“ Would you recommend the movie to others , if so why?”                                    “Yes , I believe other people would enjoy watching it .”
