A BUSTLING Colchester shopping centre will be playing host to a Firewalk event to raise funds for a specialist care service.
Culver Square’s Firewalk event will take place on December 6 and aims to raise cash for St Helena Hospice.
At the event, participants will have the opportunity to walk barefoot across a bed of glowing embers, reaching temperatures of up to 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit.
The event will start at 6.30pm and is intended to test limits, build self-confidence and create memories.
As Christmas approaches, the festive season is also set to be taken into account with stalls, performances, food and drinks.
Dave Robertson, centre manager said Culver Square is “thrilled” to host the event.
He added: "The Firewalk is not just about conquering the coals; it's about supporting a fantastic cause, and creating a memorable shared experience."
St Helena Hospice relies on the generosity of the community to continue providing compassionate and end-of-life care for individuals and families facing incurable illness.
The proceeds from the Firewalk will directly support St Helena Hospice to help local people face incurable illness and bereavement, supporting them, their families, friends and carers, where and when they need it most.
