Cyclists prepare for harsher conditions leading up to Christmas as temperatures decrease

Cyclists are arming themselves to the teeth with their best coats and jackets to protect themselves from the cold and wet battles that will proceed in the near future.

Rain, wind, hail and snow are the archenemies of everyday cyclists and as winter unfolds they become more and more prominent; so cyclists are taking every action possible in order to protect themselves from these attacks. Waterproofs and Ponchos may be used by bicycle riders to help defend themselves against the natural enemies; so could be in high demand in shops across the country (depending on the population of cyclists in a settlement) ,so this may result in a shortage of such equipment.

However, these efforts will come to little avail as it may protect one from the natural onslaught but it will have minimal effect against ice and wet leaves on the roads: as there will be less grip on the tyres of the bike on the road. Its always been said to be careful when driving a car in the winter due to wet and slippery roads, but for cyclists this should be more frequently reminded as slipping could result in serious injury. A cyclist has mentioned that the amount of wet leaves in certain areas make it difficult to cycle on as the leaves slip under the tyres and can cause the rider to lose balance and fall over, thus increasing the risk of injury and accident.

Riders are advised to exercise caution when cycling and to look out for ice as it is much easier for water to collect and turn into ice on the side of the roads.
