A DEFENDANT who failed to pay a speeding fine has been given points on his licence and ordered to fork out hundreds of pounds.
Simon Collyer, of Avignon Close, Colchester, had been driving his Kia Picanto at 36mph in a 30mph zone in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, in April this year.
After confirming he was the driver of the car when a notice of intended prosecution was issued, Collyer was issued a fine.
Court papers showed the 67-year-old did not pay the charge, and magistrates in Medway have now ordered Collyer to pay £398.
Collyer has also had his licence endorsed with three penalty points.
