A COMEDY legend is set to grace the stage of a Colchester venue.
Frank Skinner is bringing his latest stand-up show 30 Years of Dirt to Charter Hall, in Cowdray Avenue, on Friday May 3, 2024.
Colchester Events secured the critically acclaimed stand-up for the city following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe and seven nights at the Lyric Theatre in London’s West End.
Michelle Burrows, Colchester Council portfolio holder for culture leisure and heritage, said: “It’s fantastic to see Charter Hall fast becoming the ‘go to’ destination for the biggest names in UK comedy.
“As a much-loved comedian, the opportunity to see the legendary Frank Skinner perform so close to home will delight comedy fans across the city and beyond.”
Skinner has previously hosted The Frank Skinner Show and Room 101 and competed on the first series of Taskmaster in 2015.
This announcement comes days after Colchester Events announced comedian and author Ben Elton will also bring his show Authentic Stupidity to Charter Hall on September 19, 2024.
Other comedians set to perform at the venue throughout the year will include Ed Byrne, Ed Gamble, Paul Smith and Jimmy Carr, as well as Rhod Gilbert in 2025.
Tickets are on sale from 10am on Wednesday at colchester-events.co.uk/event/frank-skinner-30-years-of-dirt.
