A TRIAL date has been set for a woman accused of attempting to murder two ten-year-olds.
Ann Marie McEvoy, of Church Walk, Colchester, was arrested in November following an eight-hour stand-off with police at an address near Boston, Lincolnshire.
Police negotiated with the 40-year-old before forcing entry to the address nearly eight hours later.
She was remanded into custody at HMP Peterborough.
A court case at Lincoln Crown Court today, Thursday, December 21, has set a date for the full trial, which is now due for June 24, 2024.
The trial is likely to last a week.
McEvoy is charged with two counts of attempted murder, one charge of wounding a police officer and one charge of threatening a person with an offensive weapon, bladed article or corrosive substance in a private place.
She denies all the charges.
