DRIVERS faced traffic confusion after the traffic lights at a busy junction stopped working.
The Gazette understands the traffic lights at the junction of Ipswich Road and Severalls Lane, Colchester, were not working earlier this morning.
A commuter said: "It's not causing too many problems yet as there's barely any traffic on the roads this morning. I guess everyone has finished for Christmas now, but on a normal day it would be chaos."
Essex Highways confirmed an engineer resolved the issue on Friday morning and that the signals are back on and working with no further issues.
