A COLCHESTER artist is hosting a series of specialist art classes where attendees will be able to test their skills while drawing a human body.
Sarah Hill, of Colchester, has organised a series of three-hour life drawing classes throughout February.
The first class next month takes place in Wimple Road’s Church Hall, in Colchester, on February 3 from 10am until 1pm.
It will see guests draw different models of all shapes, sizes, and ages, in a calming atmosphere.
Sarah, who has been an artist for 35 years and studied fine art at the Winchester School of Art, explained why she decided to put on the event.
She said: "Well I started putting them on two years ago because no one was doing life drawing in Colchester then. It has been really brilliant.
"Some attendees have done life drawing before but anyone is welcome.
"I absolutely love it, it is the perfect way to start the weekend, it is very mindful and relaxing.
"It is a calm environment, I always make a cake for everyone, it is a really nice group of people."
The classes occur each Saturday throughout the month, and there is a session held in Wivenhoe every Thursday afternoon at 1pm.
Tickets cost £65.71 for a block of four sessions.
Basic art materials will be provided but attendees should take along their own equipment.
