TRAIN lines between two main Essex stations will be closed while maintenance work is carried out by engineers.
Greater Anglia has advised travellers all services between Witham and Colchester will be altered tonight and tomorrow evening.
The network's 11.48pm, 00.18am and 00.46am London Liverpool Street to Colchester services will be replaced by a bus service.
The closure of the lines will also impact early morning services on January 24 and 25, with the 04.43am Colchester to London Liverpool Street service starting from Witham at 05.00am.
According to Greater Anglia, a connecting rail replacement bus service will instead operate between Colchester and Witham, departing at 04.10am.
Further stops will be made at Marks Tey at 04.26am, Kelvedon at 04.38am and Witham at 04.50am.
The changes to the timetable are a result of works having to be carried out on the lines.
Services throughout the day between Colchester and Witham will not be affected.
