A STRETCH of road in Colchester city centre will be closed for ten weeks while roadworks are completed.

Culver Street East, Colchester, will be closed for about 40m heading west from St Nicholas Street for 70 days from February 12 while reconstruction works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Birchwood Road, Dedham, will be closed for about 60m from a point about 115m south west of Monks Lane for five days from February 26 while hydrant repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

Crouch Street East, Colchester, will be closed for about 75m heading west from St Johns Street from 8pm on February 26 until 5am on February 27 while works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Nelson Street, Brightlingsea, will be closed between Wellington Street and Silcott Street for four days from February 27 while fire hydrant repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

Port Lane, Colchester, will be closed for about 30m heading north west from Morant Road, on February 25 while mains fitting works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Bentley Road, Little Bentley, will be closed between the A120 and Church Road for two nights – between 8pm and 5am – from February 14 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Braiswick, Colchester, will be closed for about 1.2km heading north west from Warwick Bailey Close from 7.30pm on February 16 until 5am on February 17 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Peldon Road, Great Wigborough, will be closed between School Lane and Copt Hall Lane for five days from February 16 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Smythes Green, Layer Marney, will be closed between Maldon Road and Winters Hill for two days from February 15 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Swan Road, Beaumont, will be closed between Thorpe Road and Barkers Lane for three days from February 14 while valve repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

Bocking End, Braintree, will be closed for about 40m heading north east from Rayne Road for two nights – between 7pm and 6am – from February 12 while fire hydrant replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Church Street, Braintree, will be closed between Broad Road and Ashpole Road for 12 days from February 12 while overhead cabling works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Jaspers Green, Shalford, will be closed for about 1.4km heading south east from Garretts Lane for five days from February 16 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Colchester Road, White Colne, will be closed between Boley Road and Colne Park from 8pm on March 1 until 5am on March 2 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Green Lane, Mayland, will be closed for about 360m heading south west from Grange Avenue on March 1 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Hall Road, Dengie, will be closed for about 580m heading south west from Manor Road for three days from February 28 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

King Street, Maldon, will be closed for about 40m heading north west from Cross Road for 19 days from February 26 while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

Market Hill, Maldon, will be closed between High Street and Bull Lane between 8pm and 11pm on February 15 while manhole cover repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
