TWO men have been arrested after police officers executed three drugs busts before finding more than 10kg of drugs.

Officers seized almost 11kg of suspected Class A drugs as part of an ongoing investigation during three raids on February 5.

Initially, 5kg of the suspected drugs were found at an address in Manningtree before a further search of a property in Ipswich led police to more drugs weighing more than 5kg.

Essex Police has since seized the substances and arrested two men, who were questioned on suspicion of drug offences.

Jack Hollister, 33, of Long Road, Lawford, and William England, 69, of Hamlet Drive, Colchester, have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A by the authority after the Crown Prosecution Service’s authorisation.

Both men are due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on February 7.

Det Insp Frazer Low, of our serious and organised crime unit, said: “At this stage, we have seized 11kg of Class A drugs which we believe was destined for the streets of Essex.

“This is a significant step forward in this ongoing investigation and two men have now been charged."

Acting Chief Inspector Taks Shah, acting Tendring district commander, added: “Drugs are a scourge on our communities and, as a force, we work incredibly hard to target those people who we believe to be behind the supply.

“Clearly, this operation has resulted in a really significant drug seizure. That is 11kg of Class A drugs destined for our streets which will now be destroyed.”
