Motorists can expect congestion on a busy section of an Essex road.

A crash on the A12 Northbound has been reported by traffic control at 6.19am.

The incident has occurred between the Langham turn off, specifically the Shell petrol station, and junction 30 which leads to Stratford St Mary.

Traffic control said: "There is queueing traffic due to crash on A12 Northbound between A12 the Langham turn off and J30 B1029 Upper Street."

A spokesman for Essex Police has commented on the incident.

They said:  “We were alerted by our ambulance service colleagues to a collision involving two vehicles on the A12 northbound at Dedham, shortly before 6am today, February 9.

“The road was blocked and officers attended to assist at the scene.

“The damaged vehicles were moved and we had left the scene by 7am.”
