A COLCHESTER man has been ordered to pay more than £250 in fines and costs for failing to attend unpaid work sessions.
Owen Coupland, 25, of Goring Road, had been served with a court order by magistrates in January last year, requiring him to attend unpaid work sessions.
In both March and October, however, Coupland was absent from two appointments and failed to explain why he wasn’t there.
Sitting in Chelmsford last month, magistrates fined Coupland £160, and ordered him to pay a further £120 in costs.
The overall costs come to £280.
