A 12-YEAR-OLD boy had his throat grabbed and was pushed in a bush in Colchester, prompting police to launch an investigation. 

Essex Police officers are looking to identify a man in connection with an ongoing probe into an attack of a young boy in Brinkley Grove Road. 

The incident is understood to have taken place at about 9pm on November 22 and resulted in the victim suffering minor injuries.

Police have now released an image of a man they would like to talk to in connection with the investigation.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "The 12-year-old victim as pushed into a bush and had his throat grabbed by an unknown man.
