MOTORISTS travelling on a Colchester road which is notorious for flooding are facing disruption this afternoon.
Water has yet again engulfed the road and pavement of Haven's Road, in the Hythe, pictures show.
As a result, traffic is understood to be building in the area and surrounding roads as drivers slow down on approach.
The road has long suffered from flooding issues due to a combination of high tides and infrastructure issues when there is heavy rainfall.
An eyewitness said: "The flooding is crazy, it's like a large swimming pool for cars.
"It does flood there a lot, but never this bad.
"I saw one poor pedestrian ask for a lift from the car in front as she had no way of getting through the flooded pavement."
Water providers and services have been contacted for comment.
