HUNDREDS of residents are being given the chance to visit a unique adventure park entirely free of charge.

Wyvernwood icons Princess Arabella and the Captain, in St Osyth Road, Alresford, will be in Colchester's Lion Walk Shopping Centre on Saturday.

They will be giving out a total of 600 golden tickets to families, which will permit them free access to the adventure park.

Park bosses hope the free tickets, being dished out between 11am to 3pm, will get more children outdoors this Easter.

The park includes outdoor adventure activities, creative play areas, quests, puzzles, nature walks, storytelling and more.

A spokesman for Wyvernwood said: “This exciting giveaway aims to address the critical importance of children's mental, physical, and emotional health.

“As parents and children navigate the challenges of the modern world, it's more vital than ever to provide opportunities for our children to relax, play, and engage with the world around them and in this instance, another world, the Enchanted Lost Kingdom.”

Nick White, experiences director of Wyvernwood, said they are delighted to be able to give back to local communities in and around Wyvernwood.

He added: "It aligns perfectly with our mission to promote wellbeing and happiness for adults and children alike.

“Wyvernwood believes that the wellbeing of our children is a collective responsibility and we are proud to offer free tickets as a step toward a happier, healthier future for our community's youngsters."
