A WOMAN who dropped a rolled-up cigarette on the pavement in the city centre has been fined and ordered to pay hundreds of pounds in costs.
Kelly Johnson, of Turner Road, was accused of dropping the cigarette on the pavement in St Botolph’s Street in May 2023.
The courts then considered the case in Johnson’s absence last month, finding her guilty and imposing a huge fine.
Magistrates ordered Johnson, 34, to pay £150 in costs and an £80 surcharge to fund victim services.
A fine of £200 meant Johnson must pay an overall fee of £430.
