SIX bars, restaurants, and cafes in Colchester have been handed top ratings after visits from hygiene inspectors.
The new food hygiene ratings were published on the Food Standards Agency’s website this week after inspections in January and February.

These establishments have all been rated five-out-of-five by inspectors from Colchester Council:
- Stanway Garden Centre at Wyevale Country Gardens in London Road after a visit on February 7
- Coffee Hog in William Harris Way after a visit on February 6
- Wilkins Tea Rooms in Factory Hill, Tiptree, after a visit on February 1
- Fai's Noodle Bar in Botolphs Street, after a visit on January 25
- Fillpots Nursery in Straight Road, Boxted, after a visit on January 16
- Bill's Plaice, in Church Road, Tiptree, after a visit on January 24
