AN awarding-winning restaurant and hotel is celebrating after coming away from an awards ceremony with a prestigious new accolade.
The Angel Inn, in Polstead Street, in Stoke by Nayland, has won three Rosettes from the AA at the latest Rosette awards.
The business, set in a 17th-century heritage building, also retained its AA five Gold Star rating for its 11-bedroom hotel.
The restaurant and hotel opened in April 2022 and has since won multiple awards, including the Sunday Times Best Hotel for Eastern England 2023.
Speaking after the award ceremony, Richard Sunderland, general manager, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised with this award.
“Three Rosettes from the AA is a wonderful achievement as is the five Gold Stars for our hotel.
"I am proud of the whole team at The Angel Inn who have all worked so hard to achieve the high level of recognition and prestige which comes from winning these awards from the AA.
“We aim to deliver the highest standards of food and service and this award is welcome confirmation we are doing just that.
“We use local ingredients and suppliers and take great pride in offering a very special dining experience to all our customers and guests.”
