STARS from a blockbuster sci-fi epic enjoyed an Essex snack as part of a popular social media series.
American actors Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler tried Wilkin and Sons jam on the Ladbible YouTube channel as part of their series, Snack Wars.
The regular series features celebs trying popular American and British snacks to compare the two.
The pair, who star in Dune: Part Two, enjoyed a scone with jam and cream, with the jam from Tiptree’s own Wilkin and Sons.
The snack went up against the American Twinkie in round two of the video.
Not knowing how to prepare the popular English snack, Chalamet began spreading the Essex branded jam on top of a scone before realising it needed to be cut open.
Butler went for the Devon method of putting the cream on first, before adding the jam and tucking in.
“That’s pretty good,” said Chalamet.
“I like that a lot,” agreed co-star Butler.
Both gave the snack a “one thumb up” ranking.
Sadly, the jam and cream scones lost the round, with the American duo opting for the country’s own Twinkie as the winner.
Other rounds included Flamin’ Hot Cheetos vs pickled onion Space Raiders, beef jerky vs cheese and pickle, New York cheesecake vs Colin and Connie the Caterpillar cakes.
The pair star in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two, which is in cinemas now.
