PIERCINGS are always fun to have and, as someone with several of them, I am always looking to add more to my collection.
So, I decided to entrust Cosmic Tattoo, in Colchester, with my second eyebrow piercing - and I'm so glad I went there.
Booking my appointment was straightforward and done over Instagram, but sessions can also be booked over Facebook.
I found the studio, in Scheregate Steps, very easy to access and I was welcomed into a professional and comfortable atmosphere.
The waiting room was decorated with pictures of past tattoos which had been done in the studio and amusing statues, like an alien sitting on the counter.
I was immediately greeted with a smile by piercer Jim, who talked me through my appointment and gave me a consent form to fill out and sign.
Once the form had been completed, I walked into the red-painted piercing studio with Jim and sat down on the bed.
As this would be my second piercing on the same eyebrow, Jim asked which side I would like the piercing to be on before working on the placement.
He took time carefully marking out where the eyebrow piercing should sit, which is more difficult as there is already one there.
After I approved the placement by looking in the mirror Jim cleaned my eyebrow with iodine before preparing to pierce.
Jim pinched the skin over my eyebrow instead of using a clamp - due to me already having a piercing - and effortlessly slotted the jewellery through.
There was a brief pinch and then the procedure was finished quickly and professionally. I instantly loved my new piercing.
Once the session had finished I looked around the studio, browsing tattoo designs and other piercing jewellery.
Payment for piercings is preferred in cash, but card payment via PayPal is also available.
Overall, I had a very positive experience in Cosmic Tattoo and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for their first piercing - as well as those eyeing up their 10th, of course.
