A COLCHESTER band will be playing alongside some huge names in a tour around the UK.

The Meffs will be accompanying legends of metal and rock, Alice Cooper, Primal Scream and Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols.

This tour will take place from October 14 to October 21 in locations taking the pair from Glasgow to London in this huge tour.

Lily, from The Meffs said: "Our agent was in talks with the promotors who asked us to join the London dates, but this quickly turned into us being asked to join the full tour.

"When we got the news we didn't even know the first bit so it was 0-100 in five seconds.

"Then we had to smash out a set in Berlin 30 minutes later without telling anyone. Mad night."

After some big shows last year, the band hopes to keep on growing. 

Lily continued: "It feels right to be performing alongside such great acts!

"After the shows we did last year at Download Festival, tour dates with NoFX and having the biggest opening crowd on Rebellion's main stage in its history, we had hoped for more of the same and bigger.

"2024 is looking solid what with shows like this and the release of our new record."

The band will be releasing a new single on April 12, pre-save link going live this week.
