A TALK led by a popular photographer who has taken pictures of hundreds of comedians will take place in Colchester today.
'Comedians' is a talk Steve Best, who will take the audience on a journey from his time as a comedian photographer to how he recently got into the world of publishing.
The event is a one-off special for the Colchester Photographic Society and is being held at the Colchester Rugby Club, in Raven Park, Cuckoo Farm Way.
With more than 20 years of stand-up comedy experience, Steve has had exclusive access to photograph some of the country's biggest comedians.
During the talk he will discuss how he went about capturing their portraits and the production of his book, also titled Comedians.
There will also be plenty of jokes and slides and insights into the comedy world, as well as information about the cameras he uses and the dos and don'ts of photography.
The Colchester Photographic Society was formed before the Second World War to promote and encourage interest in the study and application of photography.
Doors open at 6.30pm and the show begins at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £10.
