A former Essex Young Musician of the Year is set to perform at St Botolph’s Church next month.
Jamie Cochrane will join St Botolph’s Music Society for the performance on May 11.
After winning the competition in 2018, he has performed at venues including the Royal Albert Hall and the Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford.
Mr Cochrane has also received lessons and masterclasses from pianists such as Steven Osborne, Ivana Gavrić, and Tom Poster.
The Merton College, Oxford, graduate is currently studying for a Master's degree at the Royal Academy of Music where he studies with William Fong and Michael Dussek.
He will be performing Clara Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor with St Botolph's Music Society.
In addition, the orchestra will play Robert Schumann’s Symphony No.4 in D minor, and Serenade No.1 in D major by Brahms.
The concert, which will start at 7:30pm, is sponsored by the Hervey Benham Charitable Trust.
The charity assists talented groups to develop individual skills or their roles in the community.
