A FARE dodger has been ordered to pay more than £450 after he tried to avoid paying for a ticket from London.
Jonah Varelar had tried to make his way to Colchester in October last year when was stopped by a ticket inspector.
After Varelar, 22, failed to provide a ticket, the case was referred to magistrates who oversaw proceedings earlier this month.
Officials at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court proved the case Varelar’s absence and fined him £220.
Varelar, of Drury Road, Colchester, was also ordered to pay £245.50.
