Colchester-based Fairfields Farm hosted a fun-filled potato hunt for hundreds of visitors.
Known for its award-winning potato farm and crisp production, the farm hosted the potato hunting competition during the Easter school holidays.
The event started along the public footpath which stretches from Old St Mary’s Church to Cooks Hall Road, in West Bergholt, and it provided educational fun as participants followed a series of signposts offering insight into the world of potato farming and manufacturing.
The games continued as attendees spotted Fairfield Farm’s potato friends holding individual letters, later used to uncover a mystery word to enter the competition for their chance to win their very own box of Fairfields Farm crisps.
Tash Jones, commercial director at Fairfields Farm, said: “We wanted to create an event that not only entertained but provided educational value for our local community during the Easter break.
“We loved witnessing everyone joining in and working together to win a box of our beloved crisps just in time for the arrival of spring.”
