A DOG walker has described the terrifying moment she was subjected to a man flashing her while she walked in a popular Basildon park.
Essex Police is investigating a report of indecent exposure at Gloucester Park on Wednesday, May 8 at around 6.50am.
A 45-year-old woman, who wished not to be named, told the Echo she was walking her dog when she saw a man standing ahead of her “holding his crotch area”.
At first, she thought he may have needed the toilet, as he then went out of sight.
However, as she looked back, he began to approach her as he exposed himself.
She said: “I froze for a second, which felt like 10 minutes, as he carried on walking towards me with himself exposed.
“I was so scared, but I didn’t want to appear vulnerable, so I just screamed at him; I shouted about ten times that he was a dirty ****.
“He then ran off back in the other direction again.
“I haven’t taken my dog out that way since.”
The 45-year-old said the incident occurred in Gloucester Park, by the two bridges that go over the lake.
An investigation was also launched in September after a mum was left in a state-of-shock when a man “exposed himself” in front of children at Gloucester Park.
Anyone with information on the recent incident has been urged to come forward.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We are investigating a report of indecent exposure at a park in Basildon.
