Dallison is one of four senior players to be released by Colchester, following the announcement of their retained list.

John Akinde, Sam Hornby and Marley Marshall Miranda were also told that their contracts would not be renewed, following the expiry of their current deals.

Colchester head coach Danny Cowley has set to work in his bid to assemble a squad capable of competing at the right end of League Two next season, following several years of struggle at the JobServe Community Stadium.

Plenty of change is expected at the U’s this summer, as the club hunt fresh signings to play in the Cowleys’ new-look side.
