A NEW Colchester nursery and pre-school boasting three large baby rooms is set to open in the city this "early summer.

The new nursery and pre-school for children between the ages of three months to five years old will be on Whitmore Drive, Colchester and will be run by Bright Horizons.

The firm held an open day for parents to meet the new Colchester management team in their Chelmsford branch in April.

The Colchester day nursery will include three large baby rooms with age-appropriate resources to promote development.

The nursery will also have two toddler rooms and a preschool room which all lead directly out to their own garden areas to give children the opportunity to move freely inside and outdoors.

There will also be dedicated calm spaces, role play kitchens and exciting water play stations in order for children to “build on their exploration and understanding in an enthusiastic setting”.

Bright Horizons will provide their ‘Bright Beginnings Curriculum’ – used in all of their nearly 300 nurseries which is said to put “each child’s happiness and wellbeing first" alongside developmental needs and healthy emotional development.
