POLICE are hunting a suspect as part of an ongoing robbery probe which saw a member of staff threatened with a knife.
Officers investigating two robbery incidents in Colchester are appealing for help identifying a suspect we want to speak to in connection with the incidents.
At about 7.20pm on Thursday, January 25, a suspect entered the Londis shop in Bourne Road, and threatened the lone member of staff with a knife, before putting the contents of the till, alcohol, cigarettes and tobacco into a carrier bag and leaving the shop.
Then, at about 7.50pm on Saturday, February 10, a suspect entered St George's Store in Canterbury Road and once again threatened the lone member of staff with a knife, before putting the contents of the till and cigarettes into a carrier bag and leaving the shop.
The suspect left St George's Store, travelling along Canterbury Road towards Bourne Road.
Officers say they have conducted a "thorough investigation" and are now seeking the support of the public to identify a suspect from CCTV.
A spokesman said: "If you have any information about this incident, please contact us quoting crime reference 42/14032/24."
