FORMER Colchester United defender Danny Batth is a free agent this summer after being released by Norwich City.
The 33-year-old, who played for the U's on loan from Wolves between July 2009 and August 2010, is one of a number of players to be released by the Canaries following the completion of their Championship season.
Writing on social media, Batth said: 'Thankyou Norwich It’s been a privilage to play for the club & I appreciate all your support this season!
'We ultimately fell short after reaching the playoffs but it has been a new experience & I look forward to what is next'
Thankyou Norwich 🟡🟢

Batth arrived at Colchester in the summer of 2009, having been signed on a season-long loan from Wolves.
At 18 years old, the centre-half was handed his professional debut by Aidy Boothroyd in the U's 2-0 win over Hartlepool United.
He went on to make 18 appearances for the U's before returning to Wolves where he enjoyed a stellar career, playing more than 200 games at Molineux over a ten-year period.
