A SCAFFOLDER has been fined more than £800 for breaching construction laws.
Owner of M A Scaffolding, Brett Smith, faced one count before magistrates earlier this month of building or retaining scaffolding which obstructed a highway.
The accusation relates to an offence which took place in Waltham Forest, London, in January 2022.
Officials considered the case at Thames’ Magistrates Court, Tower Hamlets on Friday, May 7.
Smith, of Hooper Avenue, Colchester, was not present at the hearing.
Proving the case in Smith's absence magistrates ordered the defendant, 42, to pay £811 in fines and costs.
